I am a University of California Whistleblower. I worked at University of California Irvine as a Data Manager/Analyst and was responsible for research data in federally funded research conducted at the University. The research I worked on was funded by the United States government and in particular the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. That means that the money came from the American tax payers.

The so-called research was supposed to be studying stress on pregnant women during each of their three trimesters. University of California Irvine had expressly declared to the federal government that ultrasound scans would be conducted on each woman in the research study to calculate which trimester each woman was in (see pages 5-6 of my lawsuit’s Complaint below).

While doing my job as the Data Manager/Analyst, I could not find any ultrasound scans or any other basis for the trimester values in the research data. I repeatedly asked Pathik Wadhwa, the person responsible for the research and his cronies for several months, where the trimester values in the study data came from because there were no ultrasound scans or any other trimester information anywhere in the data.

At first, Pathik Wadhwa and his cronies including Elizabeth Ben Ward who now works as an asst. professor at James Madison University, and Annamarie Stehli who now is a principal statistician at University of California Irvine, told me that they just “guessed the trimesters” and made up the trimester values and to not worry about it. I told them that this was very concerning and data could not be fabricated regarding the trimester values and per the grant given to them by the federal government, ultrasound scans were to be conducted on each woman to determine her trimester value.

For four months, I kept asking about the ultrasound scans or any other basis for the trimester values but was stone walled. University of California Irvine, Pathik Wadhwa and Dan Gillen and their cronies had conducted a massive fraud on the U.S. Government and the American tax payers and I reported this fraud to the above individuals who were also my managers and authorities including the University of California Irvine and the federal government (NIH).

I was fired in retaliation after I reported that University of California Irvine defrauded the U.S. Government and the American tax payers of several million dollars. In particular, the so-called “doctor” and “professor” at University of California Irvine named Pathik Wadhwa conducted a massive fraud in millions of dollars by fabricating and falsifying research with his co-conspirator Daniel Gillen, another professor at University of California Irvine. Wadhwa, Gillen and University of California Irvine perpetrated this fraud on the United States and American tax payers and fired me when I discovered the fraud and reported it.
