University of California Fraud

University of California has committed fraud as the whistleblower lawsuit details. University employee Pathik Wadhwa, the so-called researcher along with Dan Gillen and other employees, defrauded the U.S. government of millions of dollars and conducted fraudulent and fabricated research that U.S. government paid him millions of dollars to do. Wadhwa and University of California specifically told the U.S. government that he would conduct ultrasound scans of 250 pregnant women in the study to calculate each woman’s trimester of pregnancy. University of California and this employee named Pathik Wadhwa did not conduct the ultrasound scans whatsoever. Pathik Wadhwa even lied in his deposition and said he does not know what an ultrasound scan is (see Wadhwa’s deposition transcript here).

Plaintiff: Okay. Let me ask you this: In those ultrasound scanning sessions, were any ultrasound scans taken?

Pathik Wadhwa: Again, I don’t know what you mean by “scan.” And, now, I don’t know what you mean by “taken.” What is a “scan,” and what does “taken” mean?

Wadhwa continued to lie in his sworn deposition and claim he does not know what an ultrasound scan is:

Plaintiff. I will ask one more time in an effort to get an answer. Dr. Wadhwa, do you know what an ultrasound scan is?
Pathik Wadhwa: I don’t know what you mean by the term “scan.”

This is despite Wadhwa’s claim that he is a medical doctor. A medical doctor who does not know what an ultrasound scan is. One who took millions from the U.S. government to do research on pregnant women by using ultrasound scans to calculate their trimesters. Yup, Wadhwa stated in his sworn written deposition that he does not know what an ultrasound scan is. The fraud committed by University of California is massive. When the former Data Manager and Data Analyst for the so-called research discovered the fraud and reported it, University of California and its employees fired him.
